Why is She Called The Norman Paul?

How She Was Named

The Norman was a transport barge that plied the Napanee River between Napanee and Deseronto in the 1800’s.

Norman was also Jane's father.

A good and fine man lost too young.

Paul was Alain’s father. An equally fine man.

They met at Jane and Alain's wedding.

Two good men who could not speak each other’s language.

But they laughed together.

And drank toasts together.
