Napanee River Tours

was founded by Jane Adams-Roy and Alain Roy.

We like to wander.

And on one such a wander, after having travelled through a number of places and taken many a boat tour around cities and countrysides, we sat on a balcony overlooking the harbour in Malta and decided it might be fun to have a boat tour of the Napanee River.

It was 2017.

And so we came back home, and life happened, and getting a boat up and running was not as easy as we thought it might be, and boats such as the one we had in mind aren’t as readily available in Canada as other countries, and then more life happened and then we decided to have one built and then there was an aluminum shortage in there somewhere and lots and lots of other stuff like a worldwide pandemic but….through it all there was also progress.

And friends made.

And things learned.

And we just kept moving forward.

Alain will tell you that I was integral to bringing this project to fruition.

  I hope so.                       

 I hope I was an able partner.

But nothing, simply nothing I did,

could ever even remotely compare to his contribution.

The imagination, determination, ingenuity, fortitude and sheer engineering skill required to bring the Norman Paul to life…..that’s all Alain.  

She is a beautiful creation and she is here and proudly sailing

due solely to his effort and skill.

Focus on the plan. The challenge is not having a great idea, it's being able to greatly execute a good enough plan. The strategy does not need to be perfect: you can adjust. Don’t overthink your strategy, you will learn from executing. So… execute!
