In operation since 2021, Napanee River Tours
will celebrate its 5 season of operation this year!!
The Norman Paul is a purpose built, 48 foot pontoon powered by two high thrust 60 HP Yamaha outboards. She is also rigged with a fancypants bow thruster which allows our captain to perform a little bit of magic when we arrive back to the dock and he turns the boat around.
The Norman Paul is crewed by a 60 ton master pilot
and a first mate.
The tour is 16 kilometers round trip and 1.5 hours and runs from our dock at 22 Water Street west to Mohawk Bay.
The Norman Paul is outfitted to carry up to 44 passengers comfortably and licensed for 48 passengers and 2 crew.
You’ll love the view, the nature spotting, the atmosphere, the food and the drink while cruising with us. We are fully-licensed and carry a selection of ales, wines and a premium bar rail as well as an array of soft drinks and non alcoholic beverages. A selection of cruise food offerings is also available and can be purchased online with your ticket.
Afternoon and evening tours are available throughout the spring, summer and fall.
The Norman Paul is equipped with a fully accessible washroom. Wheelchairs and walkers are are easily accommodated on board. Please let us know when booking wheel chairs so we can assign the best seating options.
Private cruise charters are also available.
Did You Know?
The Napanee River is known not only for its beauty, but for the fact that it has its own tide. The river will rise and lower regularly between six and sixteen inches. This phenomenon is known as a seiche tide and is a function of several factors, including a strong push of wind to the north shore of Lake Ontario.
There is only one other river in the world (it's in China!) that also has a tide.
